A live radio debate was broadcasted on Diqqat Markazinda (in the focus) programme on Public Radio on July 25th 2007, in the framework of the Conducting a Radio Dialogue on the Prudent Use of Oil Incomes component of the United Project of the Coalition Increasing Transparency in Extractive Industries.

The program Oil Incomes and Environmental Standards took place with participation of Prof. Fagan Aliyev, a member of the Board of the Coalition, and Mr Rasim Sattarzada, the deputy head of the department on Environmental and Nature Protection Policy at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. The guests gave answers to the following questions:

1. Environmental protection of the Caspian Sea as a consequence of the offshore production of oil & gas;

2. Cleaning of oil-polluted areas on the Absheron Peninsula;

3. Protection of green spaces and waste management in the Baku City.
