General Meeting of the Coalition (#4) EITI  (December 03, 2004)

    On December 03, 2004 the 4th General Meeting of the Coalition "For Improving Extractive Industry Transparency" was held at the Baku Business Centre. The following agenda were considered at the meeting:

    1. The Report of the Coalition Council - Coordinator of the Council Mr Sabit Bagirov presented the Report of the Coalition Council on the last six months duration of the Council activities. The member of the Council and Selection Group that is to select an audit company under EITI implementation Mr Gubad Ibadoglu informed the participants about the first meeting of the Group. The Report and the activities of the Council were well appreciated by Coalition members.

    2. Coalition affiliation – 12 of 18 NGOs that had been applied for memberships joined the Coalition

    8. Ogtay Gulalıyev - Organisation for Demokratic Reforms

    9. Fuad Rasulov - Business Researches Centre at Xazar University

    10. Irada Yagubova - Azerbaijan Fund of Monitoring of Ecological Standarts

    11. Vusal Gasimli - Institute of Economical Technologies

    12. Gashgay Ismayilov - “Finance” Transparent Budget Public Union (district of Imishli )

    So, the Coalition members increased in number to 44.

    3. Election of new Councili – The Coalition members desided to increase in number the members of the Council from 7 to 9 due to anticipated expansion of work. Newly elected and re-elected members of the Coalition Members are:

  5. Himayet Rizvangizi

  6. Sevgim Rahmanov

  11. Oqtay Gulaliyev ⋆

    ⋆ - They will rotate one another in the Council as a full member in every 4 months

    4. Discussion of the changes in the Coalition Regulations.
